SUNDAY SONG

John 14:13-14
Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

Philipians 2:1-11
So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

There are some things in life I cannot explain. Sometimes, those things include how the Lord has willed and worked in my life. If I went and listed everything, you’d see His hand on my life…The Lord’s faithfulness, love and provision. Even though I know I can’t begin to fathom His true power and love for me, I do know that Jesus does love me. I also know that when I call on Him, he is truly listening. But it is a hard thing for me to explain.

We’ve been told to call on His name. He has PROMISED to listen and provide according to His will.

He is our redeemer, healer, provider and everything else we think we can do for ourselves; however, if we give Him the chance and opportunity, He can do so much more than we could ever try to create for ourselves.

Call on His name…He hears us, even when in our impatience we think He hasn’t.

Hope that made sense.
