Sunday Song: Remembering September 11, 2001

Psalm 57:1-3
Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me,
for in you my soul takes refuge;
in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge,
till the storms of destruction pass by.
cry out to God Most High,
to God who fulfills his purpose for me.
He will send from heaven and save me;
he will put to shame him who tramples on me.
Selah
God will send out his steadfast love and his faithfulness!

As we remember the sad and tragic events of 10 years ago, please remember to pray for those who are still affected by those horrific attacks, today. Many people lost loved ones, friends, colleagues, and many more still battle with the trauma of that day. Also, please keep our military in your prayers as they continue to do the job of keeping us safe.

The sadness, loss and destruction of that day will never be forgotten.  Many across the world felt the pain of that day and suffered loss.

As our country continues to navigate the pain and anger from that day, may it always be forefront in our minds that we need to turn all things over to God for His glorification, because He does truly care about every hurt…indeed every aspect of our lives.

May the frequent plea of “God Bless America” found at the end of so many speeches be heard and honored by God.

*While looking for a video for this song, I noticed that this one was created by someone who lost his/her mother in the towers.  Praise God for that person’s reliance on Him.
