If you were to steal a truck, you’d want one that was capable of running, right?
Not these fools:
Authorities in Arkansas said two men were arrested by sheriff’s deputies who spotted them pushing a country pickup truck down the street.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said Cpl. Andy Hoots was leaving the department’s adult detention center Sunday when he spotted three men pushing a truck bearing a county logo down the road Sunday with a fourth man behind the wheel,The (Pine Bluff, Ark.) Commercial reported Wednesday.
So, uh…what did they hope to do with the truck? The county was using it for parts. In the article the estimated value is stated as $500. These tools had bail set at $2500 each. Hmm…not only did they fail auto shop and drivers’ education, but also math.
Today, for “Whatever I want Wednesday,” I thought I’d play a couple of songs that make me think of summer. I think we can finally shake off winter, so enjoy!
(I love this song, but the video….eh, it’s okay.)
This song reminds me of the Jaycees carnival held every year. Rarely did it not rain. However, when we weren’t ducking the lightning display, this song was being blasted as we went from ride to ride….oh and the lemon treats…yummy lemon treats.
Hey, here’s a picture of my knee. You like? No fractures. I’ll be wearing an air-cast to stabilize my ankle, but I’m allowed to exercise (encouraged, actually). I found out I have flat-ish feet, too. I’ve never been advised of that nugget. Gee, it might be why my arches kill during a workout and I have so much pain. Oh, and my mom knew this information and “thought” she had told me. (She found out when I was beginning to walk. I have a bent tibia bone, and well…guess I’ve always been a mess.)
So, if the picture isn’t doing anything for you. CLICK HERE. You might see if you were one of the winners for this past week’s caption contest. Happy Tuesday! 🙂
You know how your day is ending better than it started and you’re all happy? Well, that is usually a good time to twist your ankle, knee, and wrist by falling into a hole covered up by tall grass.
It hurts to put pressure on my left foot/ankle area, but it is hardly swollen and isn’t bruised, so I’m thinking I just twisted it up really well. (I’ve had a worse injury to that ankle and remember well what it looked like.)
Pray that I can go to work tomorrow without pain. Thanks. 🙂
1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
There are times when I “feel” my loneliness, inadequacies, and hurts more than other times. I hate when that happens, as I am truly blessed by God. I have a good job, parents who love me, and He has protected me from so much throughout my life. When I feel life, though, I realize that all I need to do is give my weariness to God. His shoulders are much stronger than mine.
